My name is Nuriya Kurmangaliyeva, I am 32 years old, and I am proud to represent Kazakhstan. I live in Almaty, and my professional activities are closely connected with IT: I work on implementing IT projects and as a web developer. Recently, I started a career in data analytics, which has become a new and exciting field for me. Beyond work, I am passionate about creativity. Recently, Kazakh national clothing, adapted to modern styles, has been gaining popularity in our country. My sister sews traditional Kazakh chapans, and I help her as a model and photographer. In my free time, I enjoy crafting, photography,
and creating aesthetic content. I love the comfort of home, cooking, and spending time in the mountains, where I find inspiration and energy. I also love traveling and dream of visiting many countries.
– We know you have a passion, that of salsa and bachata. How did you start dancing?
I absolutely love salsa and bachata! My passion for dancing began back in my school years when I practiced national and modern dances, but due to studies and work, I took a long break. Everything changed in 2019 during a challenging period in my life when I decided to sign up for bachata classes. This dance brought back my energy, inspiration, and joy. Now, dancing is an essential part of my life. After work, I eagerly attend classes where I can forget everything and simply enjoy the music and movement. In our city, social dance parties and events are frequently held, sometimes even featuring world-renowned stars. Participating in these events, preparing for them, and performing brings me incredible emotions. Salsa and bachata help me embrace my femininity, build confidence, and connect with people who share similar interests, creating a unique and welcoming community.
– How important do you think it is to feel good about yourself? And feel satisfied?
Feeling good and being content with yourself is the foundation of a harmonious and happy life. When we are at peace with ourselves, it reflects on everything: our relationships, work, and, of course, our health. Self-satisfaction allows us to move forward with confidence, make important decisions, and overcome challenges.
– Miss Europe Continental will probably be your first experience in the fashion world. Why did you decide to participate?
For me, participating in Miss Europe Continental is not just a competition, but an exciting journey into a new world. I have always strived for self-development, and this project is the perfect opportunity to step out of my comfort zone and reveal a new side of myself. The decision to participate is driven by the desire to challenge myself, gain unique experience, and learn more about how to work on my image, build confidence, and master the art of self-presentation. The world of fashion has always inspired me with its dynamism, creativity, and the opportunity to express individuality. Additionally, I am confident that the competition will give me the chance to meet people with similar interests, share this vibrant moment with them, and create unforgettable memories. This is a step that will help me understand myself better and find new ways to achieve my goals. Thank you for noticing and inviting me, this is a great opportunity for me.
– Are there any of your friends or family members who will accompany you to Italy to support you during the days together?
Yes, I am lucky to have the support of my family and friends. Some of them are planning to travel with me to Italy, and their support means a lot to me. It will be a wonderful experience that we will be able to share together.
– Are there any goals you would like to achieve? How do you see yourself in 10 years?
Certainly, I have goals that I strive to achieve. In the next 10 years, I plan to not only actively develop in my professional field and grow personally, but also fulfill my dreams related to travel. I want to visit many countries, possibly even live in some of them, to better understand their culture, traditions, and way of life.
I also see myself happy in my personal life: I dream of a harmonious family where I will be a loving wife and mother of 2-3 children, creating a warm and harmonious atmosphere together with my husband. For me, family is a source of love, inspiration, and support.
