Hello, my name is Léa, I am 27 years old, and I was born in Nice on the French Riviera. But I currently live between Nice and Paris.
– How did your journey into the world of fashion begin? And above all, how did your interest in fashion born?
My love for the artistic world, which also includes fashion, began at a very young age when I would steal my older sisters’ things and their makeup. Then throughout my teenage years I would follow the show “Top Model USA” with Tyra Banks very closely. This fueled my passion for beauty pageants and the whole world of fashion. This came to fruition when I was around 17 years old when a small local brand asked me to walk the runway for them. I then applied 2 years later for a competition called Top Model Europe, which took place in a special way because of the health conditions with Covid. I was eliminated in the semi-finals.
– Is there a moment in your life that has particularly marked you?
There is indeed a defining moment in my life that is a good and bad memory. It was in 2020 during storm Alex which hit the village where I lived with my mother which devastated everything and where I thought I had lost one of my sisters who is also my best friend. She had disappeared, the network being broken, I remained 3 days in the uncertainty that she had not been carried away by the river which had increased by 9m. It was then when she called me 3 days later that I thanked my god for having kept her. This is a moment in my life that I will remember for life.
– In your opinion, what are the essential requirements to start a career as a photo model?
The essential conditions for success are to have a good entourage to support you, and above all a healthy lifestyle and do a lot of sport. Do not forget to always optimize and persevere. There are also a lot of physical criteria and you have to have an atypical personality.
– You are the founder of a fashion agency in Paris. What are your expectations from this job?
I created this agency because I want to share my passion for the artistic world and fashion with all those who want to join us in this adventure which remains a job but which resembles a hobby for the most passionate. I would like my agency to be internationally renowned, even worldwide if possible. So I wish myself success.
– If you had to describe yourself in 3 adjectives, which ones would you use?
To start with 3 adjectives, I find it complicated but I will answer by trying to define myself as much as possible:
Altruistic defines me well by my second job which is a caregiver for the elderly, I am always in need of helping others. I like to share my love, I am filled with empathy. And as the Bible teaches us “you shall love your neighbor as yourself” this is very important to me because our heart reflects our face.
Tenacious because when I want something I give myself the means to acquire it and I don’t give up. When you want, you can and this sentence is real.
I would end with solar because I give off good energy, I smile even when things are going badly, I know how to transmit my good mood and I am a good-natured person who bites into life to the fullest within reason all the same.
– Miss Europe Continental will be your first experience in the world of beauty pageant. What do you expect from the contest?
that said miss Europe is not my first competition but my second even if the previous one has nothing to do with this one having lived it with the Covid, the course was special. I am taking each new experience, I expect to come out of it grown and with beautiful memories to tell my children and who knows maybe the win and a new turning point for my career. but I will live this experience with a lot of professionalism but also fun because it remains in my character. May the best win.
– Do you have a dream in your drawer? And how do you see yourself in 10 years?
I have more than one dream in my drawer but the first one is coming true by participating in this competition where I could flourish. My dream has always been to become famous and a model, to live from my passion and that is what is happening right now
To close this interview I would say that I see myself as a fashion reference, and an example for young people who do not believe in their dreams. I would like to become a motivating factor for all these young people to become aware of their capacity and dare to undertake, not to imagine but to make their dream a reality. That is why in 10 years I see myself as a fulfilled mother at the head of my agency refining new talent and encouraging young people because everything is possible in life as long as we believe in it! there is the strength of imagination and faith.
