Today we meet our finalist Laura, who will represent Macedonia in the next edition of Miss Europe Continental! It’s time to have a look at her story and her personality.
Tell us more about you, what do you do in your free time?
I am Laura Veličkov representing Macedonia and in 2024, I was honored to win the title of Miss Aura Photogenicity 2024 , a moment that truly reinforced my passion for modeling and being in front of the camera. Receiving the ribbon and being showcased as Miss Photogenicity 2024 was a proud achievement for me. My journey in modeling started even earlier—when I was 16, I completed modeling school Bernarde Marovt, which helped me develop my confidence, poise, and skills in the industry. I enjoy using my creativity to express myself through fashion and photography, and I look forward to taking my journey to the next level in Miss Europe Continental 2025.
In my free time, I dedicate myself to fashion and modeling. I have my own clothing lines , which I proudly wear and showcase. I also enjoy staying active and continuously learning new things in the fashion industry. I like to immerse myself in activities that nourish my mind and body.
I love experimenting with new looks and trends, and I also enjoy sketching designs and planning future photo shoots. It’s my passion, and it brings me immense joy and creativity.
What do you expect to gain from the experience Miss Europe Continental?
As a model, I see this experience as a stage where I can transform my presence into a statement. I expect to sharpen my ability to tell a story through every pose, every gaze, and every movement. This isn’t just about looking beautiful it’s about commanding attention without saying a word.
I want to refine my ability to embody confidence, elegance, and artistry in a way that leaves a lasting impression. Beyond the crown, I aim to elevate my visual identity, turning every photoshoot and runway into a masterpiece that defines me as a model for Macedonia.
How would you describe yourself as a person with three adjectives?
I am visionary because I see beyond the present and always strive for something greater. I have big dreams and a clear direction for my future, and I am constantly working toward turning those dreams into reality with passion and purpose
I am avant-garde because I embrace creativity, innovation, and boldness in everything I do.
I am not afraid to step outside the norm, take risks, and express my unique style and perspective in a way that inspires others.
I am resilient because no matter what challenges come my way, I always find the strength to push through. I adapt, learn, and grow from every experience, never letting setbacks define me. My determination allows me to rise above obstacles and keep striving for success.
What does fashion represent to you?
I always answer that question with the famous quote from my favourite series
“Fashion is the most powerful art there is it’s movement design and architecture all in one- B.W.”
For me fashion has been a part of me since I was very young, when I would carefully choose outfits that reflected how I felt and who I wanted to be. I embrace and respect every form of self-expression through fashion. But for me, it’s more than just trends – it’s my identity. I am so deeply connected to my personal style that I can’t imagine presenting myself any other way. Fashion isn’t just about clothing—it’s a language, an art form, and the purest reflection of who I am. It represents everything to me.
If you could make one wish come true, what it would be?
If I could make one wish come true, it would be for the opportunity to stand as the winner of Miss Europe Continental, not just for the title, but for the platform it would provide to further my dreams. It’s not about the crown itself, but about using the influence to empower others, especially young women, to believe in their own strength and potential. To be able to represent not only myself but also all those who share the same passion for growth and self-expression would be an incredible honor.
From your Instagram content it seems that you have a lot of self-confidence, are you always comfortable in front of camera?
I take great pride in my Instagram, and I love curating content that feels satisfying and authentic. I’ve always enjoyed being in front of the camera—I’ve never been shy about it. In fact, much of my life has been lived in the spotlight, capturing memories through photos and moments in time.
What is your passion?
My passion is rooted in the power of self-expression, where fashion becomes an art that tells a unique story. From an early age, I found joy in using style as a way to reflect who I am and how I see the world. Fashion is my canvas, and modeling is my voice. I’m deeply passionate about empowering others to discover their confidence through their own personal style.
