OFFICIAL FASHION DESIGNER FOR THE 12TH EDITION OF MISS EUROPE CONTINENTAL: DIANA TRACHUK (COLIBRIANA)

1. You are on the official team of Fashion Designers of Miss Europe Continental Edition 12. How does it feel to be part of such a dynamic and established international team?

For me, the opportunity to showcase my creativity on an international platform is a fantastic journey. I can express myself and my creative thoughts by participating in a prestigious event that values beauty, individuality, conceptual, and progressive vision. I look forward to interacting and communicating with other creative individuals, learning more about the behind-the-scenes of the competition, and sharing my vision of beauty with the world. That’s what it means to me to be part of this team.

2. Tell us about your Creativity and Passion:

a. What do you draw the most inspiration for your creations from?
An artist can be captivated by many things, especially the unexpected and strange. I draw inspiration from both past and contemporary art. The forms we see every day around us can be fantastically transformed into silhouettes and details of clothing. Artistic literature, performances, or cinema—the presentation of other people’s creative thinking is also an immense source of inspiration. We explore, transform, learn history, and predict future trends in fashion. One day, I am inspired by a walk, another day by a trip to the cinema or a journey. Life is a stream of fleeting moments of inspiration and awe that are worth noticing and capturing to bring a creative idea to life. That’s how it is for me.

b. How would you describe the woman you draw for?
As for the woman, the muse who would inspire my creative outburst… It’s hard to say. I believe that every woman is an entire, boundless world. She is a point in the universe where life and primal beauty begin. For me, it is important that every woman can be herself—happy, with her dreams, plans, and hopes. And that she has the opportunity to bring her desires to reality.

3. Tell us about your future plans.

My future plans… it’s hard to describe them as clear-cut. They are more of a collection of projects that I strive to bring to life and show to the world. When some projects are realized, others are already at the beginning of their creation. I don’t like to stop at just one thing—besides fashion design, I create jewelry, draw prints for fabrics, and illustrations. I combine what I like and learn new things to create costumes that closely match my ideals and vision. I want to continue showcasing my creativity to others and expand the boundaries of my creativity and visibility. My priority is to develop and preserve my creative identity in the future, no matter what it may bring.

4. What advice would you give to an aspiring fashion designer who dreams of pursuing this career?

Currently, I am also an aspiring designer, even though it seems like I’ve been studying for many years and have already been working in the industry for several years. The only thing I can say is: “Design has a starting point, but no end. When you start, it’s like a long, thorny, but incredibly bright and exciting journey into infinity. The idea, development, realization, presentation—it’s a repeating cycle, ever-changing. You can stop and take a break on this journey, but it continues throughout your entire creative life. So, I believe that those who are just taking their first steps in the industry should understand and embrace this cyclicality and relentless forward movement. Don’t be afraid of it, but be prepared for a long journey.”

5. What do you expect from this experience at Miss Europe Continental?

Participating in Miss Europe Continental is, for me, a leap forward—a new step in my creativity. It’s a moment where I can showcase my creativity to a wide audience, communicate with other designers and industry specialists. It’s an opportunity to immerse myself in the creative and fast-paced flow of the industry, to inspire, be inspired, see, and be seen through the prism of my creativity. It’s a place where I can be myself because creativity is the foundation of my personality—it’s how I express myself and demonstrate my vision of the world. I am grateful for this opportunity and the prospects it brings.
