- You are on the official team of Fashion Designers of Miss Europe Continental Edition 12. How does it feel to be part of such a dynamic and established international team?
At first, I didn’t fully believe it. I prayed to God and asked, “Is this real, or is it just a scam?” Why would they choose my brand out of thousands of designers out there? I didn’t get the answers I was hoping for, but my heart told me that I deserved this opportunity and that I should go for it.
Etoilemugo is a Black-owned business founded by a 22-year-old mother of one, who also works full-time. Despite the distance between Italy and Australia, I am determined to claim that title. I know the competition will be tough, but I’m ready to give it my all because it will be wespecially. I’m especially proud to see Etoilemugo going international. This journey is just the beginning, and I’m excited for what’s to come!
- Tell us about your Creativity and Passion
- What do you draw the most inspiration for your creations from?
My inspiration comes from blending my cultural background with the vision of the new generation. Over the past few years, I’ve worked with various materials, and part of my job is helping customers select the fabrics or materials that best suit their designs. I work closely with each client to ensure we create something they truly want and are happy with in the end.
For me, it’s all about delivering what the customer envisions. It doesn’t matter their culture or the type of design it’s about giving them exactly what they desire.
- How would you describe the woman you draw for?
I can confidently say that every woman I’ve worked with brings her own unique vision to the table, and that’s something I truly enjoy. I especially love working with brides who combine two or three designs to create the perfect dress.
I specialize in making formal dresses, wedding gowns, and suits, and I admire designs that challenge me to push my limits and deliver exactly what the customer wants. I have deep respect for every event I work on, and I always ensure that I meet deadlines, delivering quality work on time.
2. Tell us about your future plans.
I plan to complete my degree in 2026 and continue working hard to grow my business. In the future, I aspire to do even more than what I’m doing now. My biggest dream is to own a store that offers ready-to-wear outfits for all genders, including children.
3. What advice would you give to an aspiring fashion designer who dreams of pursuing this career?
I would definitely say, “Go for it,” but only if you’re truly passionate about building a career in the fashion industry. It’s a challenging and time-consuming field, and while it can start as a side hustle, it still requires a significant amount of time and focus. The fashion industry is incredibly fun, and as long as you love it, you’ll enjoy every piece you create.
4. What do you expect from this experience at Miss Europe Continental?
I am truly grateful for this incredible opportunity and the chance for my brand to be showcased to the world. I’m beyond excited and thankful that Etoilemugo will be represented by Miss Europe Continental on an international stage. It still feels surreal that I’ll be showcasing my work to a global audience. I’m thankful for this moment and can’t wait to create something magical for my model, who I haven’t yet met but already envision as part of this amazing journey. Above all I thank God for making this possible for me.
